De Felice Park

TORRE ORSINA deserves a visit not only for its beautiful architectural-artistic elements of its past, but also because the “Parco DE FELICE” is located here. Aurelio de Felice (1915-1996), one of the most important sculptors (and also painter a poet) of the twentieth century, was born in Torre Orsina where he worked for a long time in his studio-house (located on the hill that De Felice praised as “the hill of my infinity”). In a garden in front of the house, an open-air museum is set up, in which copies of some of his famous sculptures are exposed, and in which is located the fountain designed by the artist. It is a suggestive place also because from here, the view sweeps over the beauties of Valnerina, as the Marmore Waterfall and the village of Collestatte.
The “MUSEO d’ARTE MODERNA e CONTEMPORANEA”, at the  CAOS in Terni, in addition to being named after Aurelio De Felice, hosts an entire exhibition space dedicated to the works of  this extraordinary artist (Aurelio De Felice section).
Summer opening hours of the “Museo d’Arte Moderna e Contemporanea Aurelio De Felice”: from Thursday to Sunday 10-13 and 17-20 (10.00 am – 1.00 pm; 5.00 pm – 8.00 pm)
