In the places of the Planerists

The Nera Valley near Terni and Narni has been one of propulsion centres of the lucky season of “Planerists”, european painters that painted the beauties of this geographical area between 1700th century and 1800th century.     
Following the footsteps of these artists who have told at the world the beauties of Terni area, the project: “The rediscovered places of an enchanted Valley” is born, a museum of painting “en plein air”, an itinerary, already practicable, that it develops along the Nera river, there is also Marmore falls and others places like Piediluco, Papigno and Narni. 
In the places where the painters have realized their paintings, a reproduction of their paintings are installed.  
The itinerary, that is long approximately 20 km, retraces the ways that the artists themselves followed to reach their ideal point of observation and in any case the tourists can discover that the landscape is still the same today as it was hundreds of years ago, comparing paintings and reality.         
In the tickets office of down Belvedere of Marmore falls there is also a multimedia installation, with two furnished locals where you can see movies, documentaries about “planerist painters”. Thanks to the presence of the 6D cinema is possible to make a virtual travel flying above the landscapes and entering in the paintings made by the painters between the end of 1700th century and the beginning of the 1800th century.
