From April 24th to May 4th many events to celebrate the arrival of spring
The Cantamaggio, a popular festival born at the end of the 19th century to celebrate the return of Spring, has become over time a festival of popular folklore animated by “allegorical floats”, a kermesse in which the entire city, schools and neighboring towns participate.
Also this year the Cantamaggio Ternano returns to color the city with the traditional parade of majestic papier-mâché allegorical floats, accompanied by a rich program of cultural and entertainment events. Among the proposals, the contest of Maggiaiole songs and that of poetry in dialect and in Italian stand out.
The long-awaited parade of allegorical floats – seven in total, one of which is out of competition – will take place as per tradition on the evening of April 30, crossing the streets of the city center until reaching Piazza Europa, under Palazzo Spada.
