On 2 January at 9 p.m. at Palazzo Gazzoli, Riccardo Leonelli's play based on Charles Dickens will be held

It is Christmas Eve and Scrooge is visited by the ghost of his old business partner, Jacob Marley, who died seven years earlier, who warns him of his impending doom.
Scrooge is terrified by the news, but Marley informs him that he still has a hope of saving himself from eternal damnation. He must be visited by three spirits: that of Christmas past, that of Christmas present and that of Christmas future. Scrooge puts up a feeble resistance, which, in the face of the danger of eternal damnation, melts away like snow in the sun, preparing him for the most shattering encounter of his life.

Passing through the painful memories of his past life, the unhappinesses of the present and discovering what his dreadful destiny might be, this discentio ad inferos confronts Scrooge with all the evil he has inflicted on his fellow man, first and foremost his closest relatives and associates, operating an extraordinary dramaturgical reversal that only an author like Dickens could achieve without lapsing into the rhetorical or the implausible.
